Community
Students develop leadership ability by first learning to SERVE others. Students have the opportunity to serve others through our Community Outreach program.
In 2007-2008 students broke an all time record while collecting food items for our annual Thanksgiving Drive. 2,301 food items were collected. This allowed OCP to give more than a weeks worth of groceries to 27 families as well as stock the pantries of the Orlando Rescue Mission and the Central Florida Children’s home.
Other community endeavors include collecting 500 shoebox gifts for a local elementary school for underprivileged children and various mission projects (locally and globally).
In addition, K2-K5 students participate in a Trike-a-Thon each Spring to raise money for the St. Jude’s Research Hospital. Our students take part in community projects here in Orlando as well as giving to children in Africa and Romania.
