The Faith to Believe. The Knowledge to Succeed.

In middle school, students are learning more responsibility in their academics.  Teachers are there to guide them through the transition from elementary to middle school.  Orlando Christian Prep offers Pre-AP classes to help prepare our middle school students for a successful high school and college career.  The middle school curriculum offers the opportunity for student to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities in their classes.  This involvement in STEM will help prepare them for advanced science and math classes in high school.

To help students in 6th grade make a smooth transition from elementary to middle school, OCP offers a 6th grade bridge program. In 6th grade, students will have two teachers for their core classes.  One teacher will teach Science and Math, and the other teacher will teach English and History. In 8th grade, students are able to complete middle school with three high school credits in Spanish, HOPE, and Algebra I.  Download middle school course guide.

Orlando Christian Prep’s Middle School department uses Glencoe for all math courses.  Bob Jones curriculum is used for History, Science and English.  Positive Action Bible curriculum is used to give students a biblical foundation and teaches students how to apply biblical knowledge in life situations. Students have the opportunity to take electives such as Physical Education, Art, Drama, Leadership, Robotics, Creative Writing, Speech, Intensive Reading, and Spanish.

On Friday, the high point of the week is chapel.  In chapel, students are able to worship with their class and hear from a guest speaker.
