1. When do you accept applications?
We accept applications year-round, provided there is space available in the class. Open Enrollment for the school year begins on January 6, 2025.
2. When can I submit an application?
You can submit an application after you’ve taken a campus tour.
3. OCP is an Open Enrollment Christian school. What does that mean?
Regular church attendance is strongly encouraged, but not required. You are required to agree by signature that your child will be taught Christian doctrine, curriculum, and characteristics. We encourage at least one parent to be a professing follower of Christ.
4. What are school hours?
Preschool
K2, K3, K4 - 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM (regular school hours Monday–Thursday 8:15 AM - 2:45 PM; Friday 8:15 AM - 1:45 PM)
Elementary
K5 - 5th grade - 8:15 AM - 2:45 PM (Monday–Thursday)
Friday dismissal is at 1:45 PM.
Middle/High School
8:00 AM - 3:15 PM (Monday - Thursday)
Friday dismissal is at 2:15 PM.
5. Do students wear uniforms?
Yes. Uniforms are worn on Monday through Friday. On Wednesday, students are permitted to wear a World Hope t-shirt for the current year, and on Friday, students are permitted to wear a school spirit shirt for the current year.
Uniform bottoms for preschool and elementary students are khaki, navy blue, or black casual shorts and can be purchased anywhere. No cargo shorts. Uniform pants are permitted.
Middle and high schoolers are permitted to wear any brand-uniform shorts or pants in khaki, navy blue, or black.
6. Is OCP accredited?
OCP is accredited by the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) and Cognia, in addition to a dual-accreditation with Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS) and The National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).
7. Are books included in tuition?
No, books are not included in tuition. Book fees can be paid in full or 3 monthly installments (please refer to tuition and fees).
8. Does OCP give entrance examinations?
Yes. Students entering kindergarten through 12th grade are administered an entrance exam.
9. What are the requirements for admission?
-Agreement on OCP’s Statement of Beliefs, with the understanding that these principles and standards will be instilled in each student starting with our youngest student, all the way to our eldest.
-Regular church attendance by at least one parent is strongly encouraged.
-2.0 GPA or higher for high school admission.
-No prior expulsions from another institution or OCP.
-Students with noted behavior issues from another institution will not be admitted.
-All IEP and 504 plans are reviewed before the Admissions process can begin.
-Students must score within 2 grade levels of the grade they are entering on the Entrance Examination.

10. Does the school offer transportation?
No, the school does not offer transportation at this time.
