Orlando Christian Prep
Founded in 1960, is a ministry of Orlando Baptist Church. Considered one of the most established Christian schools in the greater Orlando area, OCP serves over 600 students from various backgrounds. Our school is separated into four academic divisions including Pre-K (K2-K4), Elementary (K5-5th), Middle School (6th-8th), and High School (9th-12th).
College Prepared, World Ready
At Orlando Christian Prep, we recognize the vital influence that we have, as a school, in partnering with parents to develop world changing leaders of tomorrow. Preparing students academically is paramount to their success. Accelerated academic opportunities include Accelerated Reader, Honors Courses, National Honors Society, AP, and Dual Enrollment courses. Students also have the opportunity to participate in academic competitions both locally and nationally, as well as fine arts, writing, and spelling competitions. Our students consistently test 1.5 to 2.5 years above the national average on the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT), and most graduate with college credits.
A World of Opportunity
By offering a wide spectrum of opportunities in academics, athletics, and the arts, all within the framework of a Christian perspective, we hope to produce responsible, thoughtful, and compassionate citizens. Our students have the opportunity to participate in athletics from K5 thru 12th grade. Middle school and high school offers 15 teams in 8 different sports. Our students have been a part of 18 different District championships, 12 Final fours, and 6 state championships as a member of the FHSAA. Athletic competition is used to develop character and instill Christian traits of loyalty, humility, integrity, courage, discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and self-esteem.
Students from K2 thru 12th grade have opportunities to participate within our fine arts programs as part of their curriculum. Seasonal plays and performances give students additional opportunities throughout the year to showcase their God given talents for everyone to see.
A Loving Family Environment
At OCP, teaching is not a profession — it’s a passion. Our highly credentialed, mission-driven faculty are called to teach and reach the heart of every child. Low student-teacher ratios allow teachers the time to give plenty of personal attention and to address individual student learning styles. Close working relationships with parents help to maintain a consistent framework of loving Christian care, discipline, and values between home and school. Students are mentored and encouraged to discover God’s path for their lives and achieve their full potential.
